Awful. Do not get sucked in. I was asked to put my details in which I did but after it said they were not confirmed and I can’t buy wine as I needed to add my card details so I decided actually I don’t want to do this. I never re entered my details or confirmed anything so I was under the impression I wouldn’t be charged as they didn’t have my details they told me. And then I cancelled my account immediately. This was all within the first day. They then 10 days later took £90 from my account which I was completely unaware of, especially considering they told me they didn’t have my card details. Then when I emailed them and explained this they refuse to give you refund. Only offering credit on my account of £50 which I do not want as I will not be using this website.

Never agreed to sign up for this and feel like I have been duped, also Trust Pilot classes the whole this as a SCAM…

Makes it out like you’re adding card details so you pay when you fill your basket but actually just signing up to a sly (ridiculous) subscription. Wines on offer more expensive than retailers like Tesco and m and s. Unsure how they’re getting away with it.

Awful company don’t bother discount average, can find better wine in local wine merchants. Customer service rude. Don’t make the subscription fee clear enough and to charge £90,00 for the year and only offer compensation of £50.00 just shows what type of people run this company. Pathetic

Awful. I was automatically enrolled [EVEN THOUGH I had thought I had cancelled my trial account within the janky app.]… I was automatically enrolled into a premium £90 subscription to which YOU OFFER NO REFUNDS?

At this rate judging by the number of reviews I have read I am not alone in that I have been charged after cancelling membership and discarded app, many people have reported cancelling, still being charged and this scum of a company forcing them to spend more money to get value for their membership. They also do not send you any reminder of membership and will send you emails via directory’s that do not reach you and claim they reminded you. Disgusting company greedy for money

I recently had an unfortunate experience with Winedrops. Despite not completing my account setup, I was unexpectedly charged £90 for a subscription I hadn’t signed up for. When I reached out to customer service, I was offered £120 worth of wine as a consolation instead of a refund, which felt inadequate as I never intended to join their membership in the first place.

The app also has had login issues, and I struggled to access my account. Despite following all the steps, I didn’t receive the necessary confirmation emails, further confirming that my account wasn’t set up correctly.

The team’s unwillingness to process a refund for what I believe was an unauthorized charge has left me feeling unsatisfied. I would advise caution to others interested in trying Winedrops—double-check their signup and payment processes to avoid unexpected charges.

Paying £90 to use this app is terrible! Scam at its finest why pay £90 when you can walk into a store and grab bottle of wine for £7 without having to pay the £90 it’s terrible

WARNING – £90 Membership charge and they will not refund.
Having seen an advert to Winedrops online, I was intrigued, so went on line.
you can only access if you download the app, therefore downloaded and signed in under my applepay account. No emails received, no detail re membership fees stated at that stage.

I deleted the app within a few mins, due to the wine actually not cheaper than most supermarkets.

that was a few weeks ago, and i have now just been informed of a £90 charge being taken from my bank/card, and having chased up, it’s due to their membership rules.
Having emailed, they are refusing to refund that money, due to their membership clearly stating the charge etc.
Having signed up via ApplePay, it would appear you do not get any of the emails etc that inform you, or even warn you of any free period coming to an end, then being charged £90.

So, unless you propose to use this ongoing and as a regular customer, do not sign up.. I wouldn’t even look to download the app, as having used if for around 3 mins, then deleting, I have been charged £90. wow!

Don’t make the large subscription fee clear at all.

Most wines I drink are retailed at a higher price on here or at the same price compared to supermarkets. This isn’t value for money at all and they also take £90 fee subscription. I will be cancelling and sticking to the hassle free wine shopping at my local supermarket.

Do not sign up for free trial, £90 will be taken shortly after!

SCAM. Takes 1p and turns it into £90 out of your account. No clear on boarding stage. App has OK after OK screen. One of which is ambiguously worded as “Agreeing” terms.
Asked for cancellation on day 10 of free trial, no provided with a refund. Scam. SCAM.

Winedrops have taken a monthly subscription for last 3 months without me being aware of me signing up to anything

This is not a good deal and the advertised wines are available elsewhere at similar prices without the £90 subscription fee. You cant even see what is being offered without signing up so no way to validate what is being offered in advance. A very poor deal and a lot of misleading trickery for customers… Shame.
