£39 not bad purchase but when you realise that £119 Has been taken out from your bank account on the top of the £39 that’s not a joke
Winedrops, Classic Reds Bundle, NV

Disappointed that £119.00 has been taken out of my account without notification. I expect it’s all in the small print hidden somewhere. Nothing mentioned when ordering your wine and l certainly will not be reordering as l consider it to be sharp practice and unprofessional.

I placed an order in January and it still hasn’t arrived. I’ve reached out to customer services twice without receiving any response whatsoever, which is deeply frustrating. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this kind of issue with Winedrops — my very first order last year also required me to chase repeatedly before it was eventually fulfilled. A pattern like this is simply not acceptable, and I’d strongly urge Winedrops to take a serious look at both their order fulfilment process and their customer service responsiveness. At this point, I have no confidence that my issue will be resolved without significant further effort on my part.

I was misled into paying an unexpected £119 charge when ordering wine. At no point during the process was this cost made clearly apparent to me, and when I raised the issue, Winedrops refused to issue a refund. I found this practice to be deceptive and wholly unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone considering using Winedrops to read carefully before committing to any purchase, and to be fully aware of all potential charges upfront. In my view, this kind of opaque billing should not be permitted, and the lack of willingness to resolve the matter in good faith left me deeply dissatisfied.

Not worth the purchase. Got two of the same bottles. Both worth £10.99. When buying two of them, I expected two different bottles.

Awful. 1 glass and had to pour it away. Maybe it was off?

This was supposed to be delivered to a different address and I believe I entered that correctly in the order. It has come to my house instead? Can someone explain why?

I found the Winedrops app genuinely confusing to navigate. It was not at all clear that pressing the spin button would result in an immediate £15 charge — there was no obvious warning or confirmation step before the payment was taken. To make matters worse, the offer I was unexpectedly charged for turned out to be the same one I had just purchased. I’ll wait for my order to arrive, but after this experience I won’t be using Winedrops again. Greater transparency around how the spin feature works and what it costs would go a long way toward building customer trust.

I thought I had purchased wine at a reasonable price, only to discover afterwards that Winedrops had charged an additional £119 to my credit card. There was no prior indication whatsoever that this charge would be applied, which I find completely unacceptable. Being misled into handing over money without clear, upfront communication is something no customer should have to experience. I have since reached out to Winedrops to seek an explanation, but have received no reply. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by this experience, and I would urge others to carefully review all charges before completing any purchase.

I ordered this because it was touted as the higher alcohol content version. There is I difference in taste. Bottles arrived and they were 12.5%. Will not order again

I haven’t actually ordered any wine, as I’m currently trying to get a refund and no longer wish to use this company. I’d urge anyone to be extremely careful when entering their details on the site. The sign-up process is deeply misleading — it feels as though you’re simply registering an account, but without any clear confirmation step or prompt asking whether you wish to join, £120 was instantly charged to my account. There was no opportunity to review or consent to the charge before it was taken. It feels like a system designed to trick customers into membership. Very disappointing experience overall, and I would not recommend proceeding unless you are fully aware of what you’re signing up for.

Signing up via a QR code on my phone somehow landed me with a subscription to something called Juice Tech — I have no idea what this is, but it operates in exactly the same way as Winedrops: you’re asked for payment details before you’ve barely started. I’m now attempting to cancel both my Juice Tech subscription and my Winedrops membership simultaneously.
On the main page, the headline figure is £9.92 per month with a three-day free trial. Buried in the small print, however, is the fact that £119 is due upfront and in full — meaning you’d need to purchase a significant amount of wine just to justify that initial cost.
As soon as I realised this, I cancelled within the three-day trial period — but I’m still unsure whether I’ll be charged the £119. If that’s the risk, what exactly does ‘free trial’ mean?
I’d genuinely rather pay full price for the wines I want than feel manipulated into a membership I didn’t fully understand signing up for.

CHECK YOIR BANK STATEMENTS – Sneaky double charge and charged me £119 for 1x case at 59.99 if I didn’t check my bank records I would have never known.
Very professional and trustworthy business.
Will be filing a complaint.

Like many other customers, I was caught out by what felt like a hidden subscription that wasn’t made sufficiently clear at the point of purchase. The spin-to-win game also took money from my account immediately, which came as an unwelcome surprise. When I realised what had happened and contacted the team to cancel, I was told I was a few hours past the cancellation window and they refused to make an exception. What started out as an attractively priced introductory box of wine ended up costing considerably more than expected. It’s a real shame, as the concept is appealing, but the lack of transparency around the subscription terms and the inflexibility of the customer service left me feeling misled and frustrated.

I was charged double the price that was displayed at checkout, which was completely unacceptable. On top of that, bottles I hadn’t selected were somehow added to my cart without my consent, and when I tried to remove them, editing the cart turned out to be virtually impossible. To make matters worse, I was still charged for delivery despite having accepted a free delivery offer. The whole experience left me feeling deceived and deeply frustrated. I would strongly caution anyone considering shopping here to double-check every stage of the checkout process very carefully before completing a purchase.

I found the entire experience deeply frustrating and felt that the service was deliberately designed to mislead customers rather than help them. The way things are structured made it genuinely difficult to understand what I was paying for or what I was getting in return. I came away feeling confused and taken advantage of, which is never how any purchasing experience should leave you feeling. I would strongly caution others to approach with care and make sure they fully understand the terms before committing to anything. For me, this fell far short of what I would consider an acceptable standard of transparency and customer care.

I was automatically enrolled in a yearly subscription costing £119. I tried to cancel but missed the 48-hour cancellation window, and despite my best efforts to resolve the situation, I have been unable to cancel or obtain a refund. Customer service has been thoroughly unhelpful throughout the process. To make matters worse, I was charged an additional £15 today, apparently because I had placed a bottle of wine in my basket at some point. I am now pursuing a refund for that charge too. In total, I have been billed £140 for a service I never intended to sign up for — I was simply browsing the website out of curiosity. Please exercise extreme caution when using this website or app, as charges can be applied very easily and unexpectedly. In my experience, this has been a deeply disappointing and frustrating company to deal with.

I ordered a case of wine at what I considered a competitive price, but later discovered that an additional £119 had been taken from my account without my knowledge. When I queried this charge, I was told it was an annual membership fee — yet I had never knowingly signed up for any membership. My requests for a refund have been completely ignored, leaving me no choice but to escalate the matter further. I would strongly urge anyone considering using this company to think twice. What appears to be a straightforward purchase may come with hidden charges that are neither clearly communicated nor easy to recover. Deeply disappointing and unacceptable.

I was really let down by my most recent order. Two bottles were missing entirely, and the packaging was so inadequate that one of the bottles that did arrive was damaged. For a standard order this would be frustrating enough, but I’m on a premium account — the level of care and attention should be significantly higher. I expect better quality control and more robust packaging as a baseline, let alone as a paying premium member. I hope this is addressed promptly, as it has seriously dented my confidence in ordering again.

I’ve had a consistently frustrating experience with Winedrops. The adverts frequently promote wines that simply aren’t available to purchase on the site, which feels deceptive from the outset. After placing a couple of orders, I found the wines themselves to be very ordinary — certainly not of the quality implied by the marketing, and not competitively priced either. To make matters worse, the wine ratings referenced in their promotional content don’t appear to match the actual ratings shown on the site, which undermines trust further. Based on my experience, you’d genuinely be better served by visiting a dedicated wine merchant or even browsing the shelves at a budget supermarket. I wouldn’t recommend this company.
