I have to agree with the negative comments about transparency. I ordered via Instagram advert and there was no mention of membership or the £119 fee. It was only when I used the app and saw the membership. It feels like a scam. Now there are many positive reviews and probably many happy people. But my initial impressions and the bombardment of emails makes the whole endeavour feel very scammy. If they were clearer with their marketing I think the whole business would be improved. It’s odd that on the app its says that over 800 have re-joined the membership? Why did they leave??

Lack of transparency on pricing. I signed up to the app looking to buy wine as and when required and nowhere was it clear that I would be auto charged 119gbp for a subscription, nor that I would have only 48 hours to request a refund. It’s not the cost, it’s the manner of the way they charged and leave only 48 hours to cancel.

SCAM – nowhere can I find the £119 membership fee stuff. Even you website mention nothing about.

My wine was claimed to be a rare 100-point scoring bottle. Unfortunately, the 100 points were awarded by some amateur Italian wine buff who scores everything 97-100 – talk about dubious marketing by ‘winedrops’

It’s also ranked as an IGT, below DOCG (highest) and DOC, but at least above Vino da Tavola (table wine). Further digging shows this is a wine you can buy anywhere for about £10, all ‘winedrops’ have done is stuck a different label on with the words Limited Edition – again dubius marketing.

Excellent service, good communication throughout. Will definitely use again and refer to others.

Unbelievable that these people can get away with what they do. Taking money without agreement. Not delivering wine as agreed. Total SCAM! Avoid at all costs!

I decided to take a chance on this since I’m usually cautious about online purchases… and I’m so glad I did! I received 6 fantastic, genuine bottles of Italian red wine for just a sixth of the usual retail cost. I’m not entirely sure how they manage it, but it has definitely benefited me. The delivery was quick and well-packaged to prevent any potential damage. I will definitely keep ordering my wine from this company in the future.
