Sharp
No depth
Disappointing

Too early to drink
(review of Winedrops, Declassified Margaux, 2022/2023)

A decent enough Chardonnay but lacks a bit of body for my personal taste (review of Jacques Bourguignon, Chardonnay, NV)

Easy drinking, but there’s other Sauvignon that pack a bigger punch. (review of Nau Mai, Sauvignon Blanc, 2023/2024)

This is a straightforward fruity wine with little or no Tannins, very easy drinking but it’s very misleading to try to compare this wine to the some of the great Tuscans such as Tiganello. It’s not worth more than £10 but it is an enjoyable wine nonetheless. (review of Scaranto, Bundle of Governo All’Uso Rosso, 2024)

The order was late in arriving, and the two random wines priced at £20, which were claimed to be valued at up to £200, turned out to be worth just £10 each.

I attempted to confirm that I was over 18, but I couldn’t complete the process, yet they still processed my payment.

This is a good macon, however I can’t justify the price tag. The oak perseverance over cream let’s it down a bit (review of Cru les Chenelieres, Macon Bussieres, 2022/2023)

Very dry red. Balanced and smooth. But too dry for me. (review of Winedrops, Declassified Pauillac, 2023)

The initial onboarding process could be improved, as you discover that you’ve subscribed before actually exploring the site. Additionally, they only notify you about the wine purchase when you check your basket after being billed. Nevertheless, once you get accustomed to it, the experience becomes quite straightforward—perhaps even overly so! 🙂

Decent pricing, but it’s wise to verify the current rates online for comparison. It’s frustrating that the payment is processed right away instead of allowing you to add 12 bottles to a basket before checking out, which makes the purchasing process feel somewhat rushed or low-quality. Coupled with the yearly fee, the sales approach feels a bit overwhelming for my wine purchases. However, the delivery of multiple cases has been satisfactory so far.

Not quite what I was expecting. Big, jammy and sweet, more like a Primitivo than a supertuscan. (review of Scaranto, Bundle of Governo All’Uso Rosso, 2024)

Not bad – not sure worth the price tag . (review of Rock Wines, Bad Boy, 2020)

Not a fan of this pauillac. Had better (review of Les Tourelles de Pichon Baron , Pauillac, 2019)

Pros – the wine I got is outstanding.
Cons – I was charged £10 per bottle, but then discovered a hidden annual subscription fee of £119 after navigating through several screens. This effectively raised the cost to around £30 per bottle, which feels quite deceptive, and as a result, I won’t be ordering from them again, which is disappointing since I really enjoy the wine. Additionally, what was promised as next day delivery actually took four days.

The cost of membership raises some doubts, yet there are rare finds and it’s an enjoyable method to enhance the wine collection.

too uncomplicated and fruity for my taste. (review of Scaranto, Bundle of Governo All’Uso Rosso, 2024)

Was ok but the wine was worth less than what we paid (review of Winedrops, Damaged/Ruined Labels, NV)

It’s ok, but nothing more than that for me. It’s not a typical Burgandy Chardonnay and more like a generic Chardonnay, possibly reflected by its Vin de France label. (review of Marcel Rimbault, Chardonnay, 2024/2025)

It’s in the local corner off license for a reason. Mass produced and big margin for the retailer. Doesn’t store or travel well. (review of Trivento , Reserve Malbec, 2024)

The wines are excellent value, but relying on DHL for delivery is completely ineffective for me! They have misplaced two out of my three wine orders. Additionally, the customer service is quite poor when it comes to resolving issues.

Just drinkable everyday wine, not very good… Really disappointing at this price point… Short fruit, mid-lightweight, medium tannins (review of Scaranto, Bundle of Governo All’Uso Rosso, 2024)

I adore everything about Winedrops, and their customer service team is fantastic. That said, I highly advise against ordering a case of 18 bottles, as the courier (DHL) appears to have difficulty managing one large box alongside a smaller one. On two occasions, the smaller box has gone missing. Winedrops has addressed the issue both times, but it’s frustrating to have to verify what you received against your order and then engage in email exchanges to resolve the matter. I’ve switched my order back to a case of 12 to prevent this from occurring again, which DHL can handle without issue.

Not my favourite. Maybe it needed longer to open up but I don’t like this one much (review of Chateay Clos du Roy, Fronsac, 2011)

Ok, passable, average. Unremarkable. Does a job. (review of Chateau La Perriere, Bordeaux Rouge, 2022)

Might buy again. It’s the after taste I’m struggling with. (review of Fattoria Il Muro, Castro Rosso, 2023)
