Absolute con merchants and I would touch these with a barge pole.

Offered me a 20 day free membership but then insisted on my card details. When I said I wasn’t providing these the phone was put down on me rather abruptly. Up to no good and I would avoid like the plague. Please do not provide your card or bank details – You have been warned.

This is a scam. Please keep away. The bottles are overpriced. Delivery is over priced. SCAM. Supermarket prices are in fact CHEAPER.
1. You cannot see the store prices before you pay your £90.
2. You can never reach them by phone.

I agreed to pay £10 – with no obligation to join. I was told I would receive a bottle of wine which I have never received as has not ever been delivered!! I paid for this by card on the phone to Jonny!
Then later £90 came off my card, which I had not agreed!
Outrageous. I have complained and his answer was that I had signed up on the App – which was not the case!
I reported this to my card provider and they managed to cancel it! Be very careful with this company!!!

Was pleased to order for the first time, made up the order to get wine delivered for a dinner party at the weekend. Wine did not arrive, £6.99 for next day delivery. Customer service respond within 1 business day, this is poor service in my eyes.
Following 3 emails finally agreed to refund wine ordered, but refused to refund membership although the service fell very short of the promises made when membership was sold. They can argue with the credit card company over the refund. The sales pitch is cheap wine, they don’t mention the exceptionally poor service.

Absolutely rubbish, takes a day to respond to emails, I would prefer to speak to a human. The £90 subscription was taken and I wasn’t offered an alternative. They refunded and closed the account. Took a further £25 and I can’t log in, doesn’t recognise my telephone number either, complete waste of time. Get your act together Winedrops – I’m going back to Laithwaites.

Although the concept is good, I was incredibly frustrated that I wasn’t able to see any wines, let alone order any of them when on the trial subscription.

Winedrops also called me a few times to persuade me to get the subscription in the first place with the promise of a bottle of wine for doing so at a reduced price and the wine never arrived.

I have contacted them about the bizarre nature of not being able to actually shop or browse under the trial but they seem unperturbed.

I would avoid as you can only actually see what is on offer if you pay up immediately for the yearly subscription.

Just been called by this company by a young man they does not know how to pronounce Moet correctly. I explained my initial hesitation with a £90 membership fee so he offered a 10 day free trial. He then got irritated with me as I declined the offers of upsells. When he asked for my bank details, I said I was unsure and he hung up on me. Just rude.

do not subscribe took 90 for no reason promised a view of wine selection with trial but it offered 6-7 bottle none of type i was looking for then took £90 send email immediately and response was reply in one day very poor advise it is a con

This company stole money from my account and are refusing to pay it back.

Two transactions failed so I was told yo do it from the app which link which got sent to me but when I got off the phone I didn’t bother not wanting their service to find that they had tried the card details again without my authorization.

The banks show the money declined twice and then came out so they kept trying my card after I had come off the phone.

Now they are refusing to give me my money back.

Do not trust them!

Unfortunately the original prices of the wine are not accurate and therefore the savings it shows you are saving are not correct.

A bottle of whispering angel costs £19.99 not £24.99
A bottle of Champagne Lanson Le Black Reserve costs £52.95 not £80.12

A complete scam. I will be cancelling my membership and requesting a full refund.

Avoid. Started a 10 day trial on promise no money would be taken during trial. £90 came out 3 days later. Refused to reimburse me, now following dispute with Bank to recover. Thieves.

Cancelled in the 10 day free trial period but was charged £90 for the year. Had to email numerous times to even get a response. Then my account was duplicated so they took another £90 from my card. Awful experience. A real shame as seemed like a good app

What a absolute disgrace of a so called company.
After them phoning me a mo th ago , talking me into a subscription .tempting me with two free bottle of wine
Then I put in an order ,
I’m still waiting .
There excuse I gutted ” we are snowed under ” or words to that effect.
I’m a severely disabled person, withserious heart problems, IE I’m in heart failure, and under Claterbridge Canser North.
I have PTSD, and mental problems due to abuse.
But I will not let this drop even though its made me very ill dealing with this company, if indeed it exists at all.
I truly beleave iv been scamned.
But if it takes me to my grave I won’t rest till I find them and get personal justice.

I signed up last November but realised it wasnt for me so tried to cancel and was told I could not. Agreed they could keep my £90 as long as I could keep access to the end of the subscription period. Just clicked in to the app and it took a further £90 without asking, from apple pay on my phone although I have already paid £90 and am in the subscription period I have paid for. No explanation – no way to contact them other than e generic email.

This is practically theft !!!!

Same here I spoke on the phone and to see the wine prices to compare, well no response also I don’t agree for the subscription,but get changed 90£ , be careful people .. ohh I try to call email unsubscribe as well let’s see

There was no info upon signing up that I would need to speak to someone. I perceived this as an online company.
I have been plagued with calls and tonight answered. The male person I spoke to was very rude and after telling me what he thought of me, he hung up! Shocking ‘customer service!’

They offer you a reduced bottle of wine which you pay for over the phone & tell you that you have a 10 day trial so you can have a look on the app before you decide if you want to go join. When you go onto the app to get that first bottle delivered they charge you £90 joining fee even when you are in your trial period. Now they won’t refund it, poor customer service. Be careful

Disappointed and less than impressed… I’m not all that inclined to give bad reviews but Winedroos for me has not been worthwhile. I’m not a fan of the app and was not impressed with the wine . Cancelled the membership 4 months in.

Was not advised of £90 membership as it was just a general enquiry and they offered me a £10 sample of wine which was paid for and never received. No option for a refund. DISAPPOINTED.

I wonder how there still in business. They’ve taken 100pounds out of my account without permission. No wine received yet. It’s a complete con so don’t fall for it like a lot of us. I’m getting my solicitor onto this as I have told Winedrops my intentions. Don’t fall for crap they tell you. Pete Norman.
