I picked up a fantastic deal on Whispering Angel through Winedrops, which I was really pleased with. The wine itself was everything I hoped for, and the pricing was genuinely hard to beat. My only gripe was the volume of promotional text messages that followed — it felt like a bit of an onslaught and was more than I’d have liked. A little more restraint on the marketing front would make the overall experience much more enjoyable. Great offer, but perhaps dial back the texts!

Most of the wines available through Winedrops are genuinely much cheaper than you’d find elsewhere, which makes it a worthwhile place to shop. I was really pleased to find Whispering Angel available at such a competitive price through Winedrops — great value that’s hard to beat. However, the app experience left a lot to be desired. Navigating it felt unnecessarily frustrating: there’s no obvious way to continue shopping once you’ve selected something, and finding a search bar proved surprisingly difficult. To top it off, you’re required to watch a video before you can even get started, which feels like an unnecessary hurdle. The pricing is a definite win, but I’d love to see some meaningful improvements to the app’s usability to match.
