I’ll admit it took me a while to find my feet. Paying upfront for an annual subscription without having trialled the platform first felt a little strange, and it’s equally unusual to pay for wine at the point of clicking, even though you don’t actually receive it until you schedule a delivery. That said, once I got my head around how it all works, I found myself genuinely hooked. Looking ahead, I’d love to see an AI-powered recommendation tool to help with wine selection — that could be a real game-changer. One thing that does frustrate me is that previous drops disappear after just a few days, so if friends have ordered from an earlier drop, you can’t go back and browse what they chose. A small improvement, but it would make the experience feel more complete.

I’ve been really pleased with the wines I’ve ordered from Winedrops so far — the quality has been great and I’ve genuinely enjoyed what’s arrived. Won on the spin delicious. Pale yellow in color with golden flashes of fine bubbles, clean and bright. On the nose of medium intensity, aromas of white fruit, apple, citrus peel, citrus, nuts and a background of pastries.

On the palate it is dry and fresh, white fruit, correct acidity, medium body.

Winedrops offers good wine at genuinely competitive prices. It took me a little while to get my head around how the model works, but I’ve come to believe I’m consistently getting quality bottles at fair prices. The next-day delivery to virtually anywhere is a real bonus, and once you settle into the purchasing process it all starts to make a lot of sense. I’m now confident it represents strong value for money, and I feel like it’s introducing me to wines at a noticeably higher level than I’d typically find elsewhere. Slowly but surely, I’m being won over.

I ordered the Scaranto Toscana and was thoroughly pleased with the experience. Delivery was impressively quick, and the wine itself didn’t disappoint — a bold, fruity red with real character. My other half is something of a wine enthusiast and had nothing but praise for it, which is always a good sign. A great find overall and one I’d happily order again.

I’ve been genuinely impressed with the wines I’ve tried from Winedrops so far. The quality has been consistently good, and each bottle has been a pleasant discovery.
