I am very happy with the customer service shown by Simon. I highly doubt I would have signed up if it weren’t for him.The app looks easy enough to use and I’ve already purchased two bottles into 5 minutes of joining.5 stars!UPDATEI have updated my review to 3 stars. This because what I was told was actually not completely true which then caused some issues.I asked if 2 specific champagnes/ wine were in stock and I was told they were. On this basis I agreed to join. After joining the specific items were in stock but not available to me.I was then told I would have to wait for them to become available again and no one could give me a timeframe. I waited as requested and ended up cancelling the 2 bottles I had bought along with my trial as the items I specifically wanted never came back in stock.Had I been told this information at the start I wouldn’t have agreed to the trial so the whole thing was a waste of time.Winedrop were very understanding throughout the process.I also appreciate we all make mistakes.I still think the company have a good thing going. It’s just a shame it didn’t work out for me.

It was not made clear to me that this was a subscription service and any wines I was sent details of were not well discounted. I cancelled my membership and requested a refund which I have received. This may work for some people who buy a lot of wine but did not work out for me.

Wine is great? Value excellent. It’s a fun subscription and now tasting wine far nicer than I would have done previously.Only one delivery has come on time and to the correct place so far. I’ve been chasing a failed delivery for over a week now and getting nowhere.

Quick delivery but I’m afraid the bottle I ordered doesn’t taste great.

Extremely disappointed with the after-sales experience.Case has been « dispatched » last Sunday but still no signs of my wines nor a tracking link. App is not working properly and whilst they’re really quick at taking your money, Jonny is now taking a whole day to reply to 1 message.Where is my wine? I’ve paid for 12 different bottles and I wanted to have them with friends coming over tomorrow evening! 5 days to dispatch a case of wines seems a bit excessive to me!!Beware of those delays!Update 22/09/2023:Case has been held and not dispatched because one of the bottle I ordered weeks/months ago was « not in stock ». How’s that even possible as the bottles we’re paying for are supposed to be held in our case.Anyway, Jonny helped me to swap the missing bottle with an in-stock alternative and case has been dispatched yesterday… However, DHL now informed me that what was supposed to be a 24-hour delivery is now going to be delivered the new working day which is… Monday.24-hour delivery that I’ve paid £9.99 for I was expecting my case for a party with friends tonight but I now have to buy my own wines at another shop. Completely missed the point. I am really really frustrated. On top of that, they’ve asked me to submit more details or my review might be taken down… As far as I know my Trustpilot email address is the same as the one on my Winedrops account. Same goes with my phone number (Yes, it’s me Jonny, the customer with a French phone number that you’ve been speaking to the last 72 hours ).Like I said, this whole experience has been dreadful and disappointing. I won’t recommend them and I might be using Naked Wines which has been recommended to me by a couple of friends.Edit 2:I’ve just seen DHL has delivered my wine today. But still, the experience has not been good.Edit 3:Case has been delivered Friday after all. Glad to have it « on time ». But still, the explanation and experience wasn’t top notch and that is not something I was expecting when joining the Winedrops club.Jonny has been helpful.

Just ended a call with customer services.Offered a free 10 day trial. At end of which £90 annual subscription was taken. No mention beforehand and will not refund.Absolutely scandalous. Considering options.Stay well clear!!!Update 10/09/23.£90 now refunded and first case of wines received.Still not happy that the subscription fee was debited without warning ( they say that was mentioned in phone conversation ) but everything else promised has happened therefore it seems that it is merely their system that needs to change.

Great wines, brilliant concept but my delivery took over a week to arrive. I had to chase DHL 3 times - the first time they claimed they had tried to deliver 3 times but that they had put the parcel on the wrong truck. Shambles. I’d be happy to order again but only if they don’t work with DHL.

Cancelling the subscription can be difficult it seems!! sent whatsapp which is how you sign up and order, told need to phone number to cancel! However was on hold twice for over 10mins. After 10mins just an automated voice saying sorry no one is available and cuts you off.Wine is not special. Prices aren’t cheap… they’re not as good as what you get in any boutique wine shop between £15 to £20not worth paying a subscription fee for. You’re better off ordering through a normal retailer

Wine discounts are good. Packaging is quite cumbersome. Vast majority of wines seem to be q expensive meaning there may be big discounts but absolute price still high.

Re- reciewed following contact post making my initial review. The company have responded with actions that they will take to improve the customer experience which I feel fair to take into consideration. For me, cancelling the subscription was not easy! As the company are small snd wanting to understand why customers do not want to continue, to be able to do this it requires you to call a number and speak to someone. My experience of this was being on hold, twice, for over 10mins (so over 20mins on hold) listening to the same song over and over. After the 10mins, there was just an American automated voice saying sorry no one is available and to call back. The service itself is not for me, the wine choices are provided by whatsapp messages so you’re limited in what you can see is in stock. For me this has acted as a deterrent to ordering. Prices also aren’t cheap and they’re what you get in any boutique wine shop usually between £13 upto £30+. I note this as the marketing for the company elude to wines being a lot cheaper than this (initially seen via. instagram).I can only comment on the quality of 1 wine that I tried from Winedrops, which was good quality, but I did not feel worth paying a subscription fee for. I would have probably have continued ordering with them if made available without the subscription fee.Personally, i’m going to be ordering from other retailers for now with a simpler system in place.I appreciate the personal reach out following my experience.

Everything is perfect. DHL delivery was terrible. They did delivery when nobody was at home. I chose a local service point. It took a 6~7days to be delivered at service point.

This is actually not a review of the company’s services but an observation of the company’s approach to attracting potential customers and an explanation why I refuse to EVER sign up to this particular model.Signing up, revealing your personal details (address, telephone number, email address, etc.) and giving them your payment details - all that before you can even see a full list of wines and the price list? Why are they not more transparent on their website? Why can’t you see what you’re buying? Why in their email I received they listed only some of their more expensive wines (£9 and up)?Simple Google search reveals that it will cost you £90 per year to be a member of Winedrops, which means you’d have to buy 300+ bottles of wine to benefit from the scheme and get it cheaper than in any standard supermarket (that provides online shopping & deliveries) - and that’s it you only buy their cheapest wines and never take advantage of the full range.Playing the card of a 10-day free trial is a cheap bait - how can you ever check a possible yearly benefit in only 10 days?!So passé.Also, by now I’ve received several communications from them and when not responded to first ones, I started receiving repeated ones on daily basis rushing me to respond, saying I’ve only 24 hours left to sign up… and my phone provider also started flagging their txt messages as a potential spam.Food for thought. If You can afford it, fine - I’m out.
