Delivery was quick, and the wine seems decent enough for the price — so no complaints there. However, I’d urge anyone ordering for the first time to read the terms and conditions carefully before completing their purchase. When you place an order with Winedrops, you are automatically enrolled into a fee-paying membership, which can be quite costly if you’re not expecting it. It caught me off guard, and I suspect it might surprise others too. The experience itself wasn’t bad, but that automatic sign-up feels like something that should be made much clearer upfront. Proceed with caution and make sure you know exactly what you’re agreeing to before you buy.

I ordered a box of 6 bottles at the price of £79,98, received the invoice confirming the price & received the order 48 hours later.
2 days later I received a notification of the refund of my £79 & s different amount of £119 was taken from my bank account. This was not the amount I was invoiced for so contradicts their T&C’s. Not impressed, automated response of a standard letter, which clearly shows this is a common issue. The membership fee requirement should be clearly visible on the website as well as at the point of placing an order. Still waiting for a response

Whispering Angel is one of my all-time favourite wines, so when I spotted the offer through Winedrops I was thrilled. I first discovered it during a visit to my sister in Canada, and it’s been a firm favourite ever since — perfect for enjoying myself or giving as a gift to special friends.
The wine itself is wonderful and the offer was genuinely impressive. However, I was disappointed to discover after placing my order that there was an additional £119 annual membership fee on top of the promotional price. I hadn’t realised this was a requirement to access Winedrops’ special offers throughout the year. To be fair, when I got in touch, the team explained it clearly and were helpful.
As someone on a limited income, I had simply wanted to take advantage of the one-off deal on Whispering Angel. It would have been helpful to have the membership requirement made more prominent upfront, so customers like me can make a fully informed decision before purchasing.

Winedrops is the only wine club I’ve come across where the membership fee goes entirely towards ‘admin’ rather than wine credit. That wasn’t made sufficiently clear at sign-up, which was frustrating — the money simply disappears.
On the positive side, the app is genuinely impressive. It’s engaging, beautifully presented, and makes almost every bottle look irresistible. The temptation factor is real. Unfortunately, my first case brought me back to earth — the selection was perfectly ordinary, with nothing particularly special included.
Delivery was also a let-down. The first case arrived damaged in transit, and subsequent deliveries came with no option to book a specific time slot — just a case left outside the door whenever the courier happened to show up.
Finally, for a wine club positioning itself around quality, the reliance on screw caps is a sticking point. Good wine deserves better. There’s genuine potential here, but the experience needs to live up to the promise the app creates.

Slightly dry for my taste. I need more fruit and a rounder finish. My son loved it though.

I’m still in the early stages of my experience with Winedrops, so it’s a little too soon for me to offer a fully informed opinion. So far things seem reasonable enough, but I’d like a bit more time before I can give a more definitive verdict. I’ll reserve judgement for now and see how things develop over the coming weeks. Watch this space — I may well have more to say once I’ve had a proper chance to explore what’s on offer.

I am only giving this wine 3 stars because you did not send me the wine you advertised. You advertised a 2021 vintage but you sent me 2023 vintage.
Will you rectify your error please!!!

I was caught off guard when, just two days after ordering a case of wine — before it had even arrived — I was charged a yearly membership fee. This wasn’t made sufficiently clear at the point of purchase, and I think Winedrops should do more to ensure customers are fully aware of any ongoing charges before they complete their order. Transparent communication upfront would make for a much smoother experience and avoid any unwelcome surprises. The wine itself may well be lovely, but the lack of clarity around the fee structure is something that genuinely needs to be addressed.

I’ve made my first purchase through Winedrops and I’m reserving full judgment until I’ve tasted what arrived and can confirm whether the next-day delivery promise actually holds up. Once I’ve had a chance to experience the full service — from delivery speed to the quality of the wine itself — I’ll have a much clearer picture of whether Winedrops is the right app for me going forward. For now, cautious optimism.

Not going to lie — on the first sip I wasn’t happy. Way too sweet for my taste.
But by the 4th sip my taste buds had adjusted and it actually became very quaffable. Light, fruity, and easy to drink on a sunny afternoon. Is it champagne? No. Would I buy it again? Probably yes, especially for casual summer sipping.
Only downside? The wasps absolutely dive-bombed us for it. Fair warning if you’re drinking outside!
Overall a fun, refreshing option when you want something lighter than straight fizz.
Would give it 3.5 if an option.
