There are genuine offers to be found on Winedrops, but a word of caution: I didn’t realise I had signed up to a subscription when making my first purchase — entirely my own oversight, but worth being aware of. The checkout process is also quite swift; once you hit buy, the payment comes out immediately, so make sure you’re ready to commit before clicking.
I’d also recommend doing your own research on RRP and average market pricing before purchasing wines you’re unfamiliar with. On a few occasions I found the same bottle considerably cheaper elsewhere, which made some of the advertised discounts feel a little misleading. I’d personally prefer straightforward, honest pricing over inflated RRPs and headline discounts.
That said, credit where it’s due — the team behind Winedrops have built something impressive. The marketing is slick, the proposition is compelling, and those drops really do draw you in. Just go in with your eyes open!

Was OK. Happy enough to drink but wasn’t mind blowing.

The daily drops on Winedrops are well worth browsing if you’re looking for good-value wines. However, it’s worth being cautious with the app itself — there’s no confirmation step before payment is taken automatically, which can catch you off guard. I’d also advise care around the Spin for £15 feature; I accidentally triggered it while getting familiar with the app and ended up paying £15 for a £7 bottle of red. Not ideal. That said, if you take your time and get to know how the app works, there are genuine bargains to be had. Just make sure you know what you’re tapping before you commit.

I’m giving three stars for now, as my wine still hasn’t arrived and I’m unable to comment on the quality. To be fair, any delays may well be down to the courier rather than Winedrops directly, and the customer service team has been reasonably responsive in dealing with my query so far. I’ll reserve full judgement until the order actually turns up.

Disappointing

The wine itself was excellent — no complaints there. However, I was disappointed by how difficult it was to find clear information about the membership details before signing up. What was advertised as an easy cancellation process turned out to be far more laborious than expected, and at times felt borderline unfair. Winedrops clearly has a strong product at its core, but the membership experience left a lot to be desired. Improving transparency around terms and making the cancellation process genuinely straightforward would go a long way toward building customer trust.

I was rather frustrated after signing up, as I quickly found myself on the receiving end of frequent promotional messages encouraging further purchases. More concerning was that a larger amount than I had anticipated was taken from my bank account — and, honestly, I wasn’t entirely sure I had signed up for a subscription at all. I would genuinely appreciate some clarity from Winedrops on exactly what I agreed to and why those charges were applied. Transparent communication from the outset would go a long way toward making new customers feel confident and informed rather than caught off guard.

It’s not as good as the blurb makes out ,with Ice it’s very much like a flat aperol spritz and not a very good one .

The website and app are a little tricky to navigate at times, which can make the experience feel slightly frustrating. Pricing also varies quite a bit depending on when and how you sign up — the best deals tend to be available when you first join Winedrops. It’s worth being aware of that before committing. With a few improvements to the user experience and greater pricing transparency, this could be a much smoother service overall.

If you are comparing this wine to super Tuscan’s all I can say is that you must have a problem with your taste buds.
Scaranto, Governo Special Edition, 2023/2024

The wine arrived within a few days, which was fine, and I was kept updated throughout the delivery process. However, when I later checked my credit card statement, I noticed an additional charge of £119 that I had not authorised. There was no reference attached to it, no additional wine ordered, and no explanation whatsoever. I’m hoping Winedrops can clarify what this charge relates to, as it is a concerning discovery and I’d very much like it resolved.

Winedrops offers an interesting and varied selection of wine lines, which I appreciated. However, I’d advise a degree of caution when browsing the website, as the experience can feel a little pushy at times — almost as though you’re being hustled into making additional purchases or decisions you hadn’t planned on. The range itself is worth exploring, but a more relaxed and transparent online experience would go a long way toward making customers feel more comfortable and confident in their choices. With some improvements to the site’s approach, this could easily be a four or five-star experience.
