Had a courier issue, but I was really impressed with how quickly and personally it was handled.

This is an amended review as a result of my experience with Winedrops customer Service. Previously I left a 1* review and comments. However, Winedrops have worked very hard to rectify the issues with the wine delivery and the initial responses to my order and as a result I have amended it to 4* DHL e-commerce are the reason for the star drop, their response to my change of delivery date was very poor resulting in the delivery being returned. Winedrops have now prioritised the re-delivery of my order and refunded my subscription, due to the order return affecting my ability to cancel within the free trial period. Very satisfied with Winedrops response.

A few hiccups with wine not arriving but overall excellent wines and a good company

The selection is wide ranging: across many price points and regions, and the pricing is always competitive. Took a little while to get used to the app and dispatch protocol, but once familiar the process is both pleasant and efficient.

Having been out for dinner recently and had a few glasses of The Chocolate Block I searched out where I could get some! Winedrops had it at great value so I bought six! One is already gone but it is a quality wine. The service received was excellent, as the wine was here in a couple of days. One thing I wasn’t clear about was the annual fee. Which was taken from my card only a couple of days after making my order. I believe this has been raised before and they certainly don’t make it clear. That said the wine is at good prices and a huge amount of options to choose from.

The price is right. I did some investigating to see if what winedrop was advertising and they were on the mark. I only have one issue and that is time. I haven’t received my shipment of wine yet. It’s been a week but hope it comes this week. I will keep them in mind for future deals but have issues with having to pay £10 a month to get deals. I would order regularly with them if this charge was removed. I don’t like paying to get a discount. So overall I score them a 4 star rating

Once you understand how it works, Winedrops is a good concept for wine discoverers

Saw this out of the blue and am quite impressed with the prices. Early days as I’ve just started ordering, hence the 4 stars. Queries are answered quickly and efficiently for the moment. Will give it a few months and decide whether it really is worth it. But bravo for the initiative.

I have been a member for some considerable time and never had any problem with quality of the wine or value for money. I do have issue with their delivery company who have let me down on a number of occasions.

They are pretty much scamming a high rating online by encouraging you to leave a review to enter a competition which they then don’t enter you into

A fun and exciting way to experience wines you are perhaps unfamiliar with I’ve spent a bit of time using the Winedrops app, and overall I find it an exciting and genuinely convenient way to buy wine. The whole thing feels smooth from the moment you open it. Browsing is quick, the layout is clean, and it encourages you to explore bottles you wouldn’t normally come across in a supermarket. That discovery element is the part I enjoy most. I’ve already found a few wines I probably wouldn’t have tried otherwise, and that alone makes the app feel worth using. That said, I do have mixed feelings about some of the big discount claims. A few of the deals look amazing on the surface, but once you pause and think about the supposed “usual price,” it’s not always clear how real the saving is. There’s been outside criticism on this point too, so it’s not just me being picky. I wouldn’t call the discounts misleading across the board, but I’ve learned to take the numbers with a pinch of salt and do a quick sense-check before hitting buy. The value is still there, but it’s not always as dramatic as the headline suggests. The membership model is also something I had to settle into. You only get access to the best prices once you’re signed up, and that cost needs to be part of the mental calculation. If you buy wine regularly enough, it works out fine. If you only dip in occasionally, you might not get the full benefit. Delivery is straightforward and reliable, which helps. It’s very much a “sit on the sofa, choose something interesting, and it turns up later” experience. That sense of ease is one of the app’s strongest features. Despite the couple of reservations, I’m still positive about Winedrops. It’s simple, it’s enjoyable to use, and it makes wine-buying feel more like a little adventure rather than a chore. I like having access to bottles I don’t normally see, and the quick, app-based purchase process suits the way I shop. Even when I’m sceptical about a particular discount, I still appreciate being presented with something new and different. My summary would be this: Winedrops is convenient and fun, especially if you enjoy exploring beyond the usual supermarket choices. Just stay level-headed about the discounts and take a moment to check whether the deal feels realistic. If you do that, the app becomes a genuinely enjoyable tool for discovering new wines and keeping things interesting.

Good wines and a bargain can be found but their returns performance is shoddy. Despite 2 duff wines being reported, no credit issued. Not what they promise.

I’ve had one or two issues navigating the site but that is probably more down to me than Winedrops. I did order 6 bottles of wine but only received 4 but I did receive credit for my loss. The wine I have had is really good and very attractively priced. If you like good wine at reasonable prices I would certainly recommend giving them a go.
