On the palate it’s medium-to-full bodied, with firm but well-integrated tannins and just enough acidity to keep everything lively. The oak is present but not aggressive — it adds structure and a gentle spice rather than overwhelming the fruit. The finish is long and warming, with dried cherry and a wisp of tobacco lingering pleasantly. Didn’t bowl me over as I expected from the implied price, but respectable. They provide a good range of wine to a novice like myself. Better than supermarket quality for cheaper, or much better for the same price. However, I had lots of issues with deliveries, however this lies on the courier, DHL (useless), rather than WineDrops and their support have helped me out massively with each issue I’ve had, absolutely zero complaints there - shoutout to Joan Joh and Michael.

I’ve been using Winedrops for a while and it’s a nice concept. You occasionally find very good deals on bottles you recognise, and it’s a good way to discover wines you wouldn’t normally come across in supermarkets. That said, a lot of the wines are from producers I’m not familiar with, which can make it harder to judge value or know what to choose. Some clearer comparisons or tasting guidance would make the experience even better. Overall a good platform if you enjoy trying new wines and finding occasional bargains.

Some great wines at bargain prices and a nice app. Have experienced some issues with shipping and delivery though.

Just joined wine drops - it seems to benefit from the £45 wines you need to be spending £18 ish a bottle - which I suppose is fair enough . For me, every day drinking wine I would prefer to spend about £10 a bottle but the average retail price isn’t that much different.

The delivery and purchase process is straightforward but the selection of wine can be limiting. As well as they take a very annual subscription without notice. That’s a bit frustrating. However I have had some really good quality wines at a large discount but do pick wisely
