Underwhelming in my opinion. (review of Beau Vigne, Cabby Cabernet Sauvignon, 2017)

A surprisingly great paring with Indian food! Very good (review of Chateau d’Esclans, Whispering Angel, 2024/2025)

Not bad for an Italian wine. Little bit sharp but still fruity. Very young and fresh. Why don’t they age their wines? It could do with some oak and a year or two before bottling. (review of Scaranto, Governo Special Edition, 2023/2024)

Ok… so… I am not a fool and I double check stuff but someone the £119 ‘membership’ passed me by, which si very very annoying. If it is such a big deal, front it up properly. I feel very annoyed.

A little too sour for me (review of Little Cricket, Gruner Veltliner, 2023/2024)

Nothing special, very average like a supermarket wine. There are much better wines for a couple of £ more. (review of Cantine Paradiso, Nero Di Troia, 2022)

The wine is a lot more expensive now and I’m not sure is value for money.

I thought the wine nice, but don’t believe it lived up to the advertised value of the wine in the offer (£150) and now say it’s RRP is way less (review of Winedrops, Declassified Pauillac, 2023)

Nice wine, but nothing outstanding (review of Chateau Curton La Perriere, Bordeaux Rouge, 2020)

Disappointing. Although it definitely tasted like an Alsace, it didn’t have the depth of complexity expected. I’ve had better and cheaper from a well known supermarket. I’m not tempted to buy again. (review of Paul Mas, Le Gewurztraminer , 2024)

Crisp and tart! (review of Hei Matau, Sauvignon Blanc, 2024/2025)

I just prefer an easier taste (review of Domaine Rouviere, Cotes de Provence, 2024)

I was rather disappointed with this wine. The first distinctly average for the price wine I’ve had from Windrows (review of Chateau Pont de Pierre, Lussac St Emilion, 2021/2022)

Lots of tobacco on the nose but too sweet for me. (review of Winedrops, Ondaia, 2023)

Wasn’t setting my world alight…. Just simple & easy drinker (review of Calitro, Ausilio Negroamaro, 2023)

Charlotte Roberts-Barr

Was quite flat, perhaps I had an ‘off’ bottle (review of Philippe Michel , Crémant d’Alsace Brut, NV)

Definitely prefer prefer whispering angel. This wine is slightly heavier and more cloying. Probably better with food rather than an aperitif (review of Chateau d’Esclans, Estate Rose, 2022)

I had heard about some good deals on popular brands of wine so signed up to see what was available. I wasn’t entirely clear that I would be charged the £119 member fee just a couple of days in, so I contacted the support team to ask for a refund. I had no reply. However… as I had resigned myself to having paid the one-year fee, I have looked at some of the deals and some are excellent (such as Whispering Angel at around £12/bottle) so we have had some good deals. Whether we’ll recoup the membership cost in savings, I am not sure, because lots of the wine/champagne is available at Sainsbury’s for a lot cheaper when they have their ‘25% off for six’ offer on. I find the app difficult to use, but the website much easier.
