I’ve always heard people rave about Whispering Angel, so I finally decided to see what all the fuss was about.

First impression? It’s really easy to drink. It’s light, crisp and refreshing, with a lovely fruity taste without being overly sweet. I picked up hints of strawberry and peach, with just enough acidity to keep it fresh.

What surprised me most was how smooth it was. There’s none of that overly sugary rosé taste I was expecting. Instead, it feels quite elegant and almost a little bit indulgent.

Would I buy it again? Absolutely. In fact, I can already see why people say you should never buy just one bottle. 😄

We’ve been really impressed with Winedrops overall and would happily recommend them to anyone looking to discover new wines. The selection is excellent and clearly well curated, with a wide variety to suit different tastes and occasions. One of the highlights was trying wines I might never have chosen myself — each bottle offered something a little different, and the quality was consistently outstanding. Whether enjoyed with dinner or shared with friends, the flavour and care behind each selection really stood out.

The ordering process was straightforward and the overall experience felt professional and customer focused. It’s genuinely refreshing to find a company that prioritises interesting, quality wines over simply stocking well-known labels.

That said, the annual membership fee is a sticking point. While we appreciate the value the programme can offer, the upfront annual commitment feels quite high and creates a real barrier for us. It’s a shame, because we’d love to continue exploring the Winedrops range. If the membership fee were reduced or more flexible options were available, we’d be far more likely to commit and become regular customers. The wines themselves absolutely deserve it.
