I found the Winedrops website really easy to navigate, which made the whole experience pleasantly straightforward. It can sometimes be a challenge finding your way around wine retail sites, but everything here felt intuitive and well laid out. A solid four out of five from me — a great starting point for anyone looking to explore what’s on offer.

Winedrops themselves were excellent — the ordering process was smooth, the selection impressive, and their customer service was top notch. Unfortunately, the delivery experience via DHL left a lot to be desired and really took the shine off what should have been a seamless end-to-end experience. It’s a shame when a courier lets down an otherwise great retailer. I’d absolutely order from Winedrops again, but I’d hope for a more reliable delivery option next time around.

Carol Knowles

Carol Knowles gives this wine a solid four stars, and her verdict is refreshingly straightforward: it delivers well for the price, but doesn’t quite reach the heights that would make it truly memorable. There’s something to be said for honesty like that. Not every bottle needs to be a revelation — sometimes a wine earns its place simply by being dependable and fair value for money. That’s exactly what Carol finds here. A reliable choice if you’re shopping with your wallet in mind, though perhaps not the one you’d reach for on a special occasion.

Ian Ryan

A striking deep red in the glass, this wine opens with generous plum fruit and a pleasant thread of spice running through it. There’s a sense of depth here that makes it easy to linger over. Ian didn’t elaborate further, but the score speaks for itself — four out of five is a confident nod, suggesting a bottle that delivered real pleasure without quite reaching the heights of something truly exceptional. A solid, characterful wine worth seeking out.

After reaching out to Winedrops about a missing delivery, I was really impressed by how swiftly and professionally they handled the situation. There was no fuss or lengthy back-and-forth — they got straight onto it and had a replacement delivered to my door within just a few days. It’s always reassuring to know that if something goes wrong, a company will step up and sort it out without hesitation. Great customer service, and it’s given me real confidence in ordering from them again. Four stars, and the one missing is simply because the initial delivery didn’t arrive as expected.

Ian Ryan

Ian found this wine to be full-bodied with a pleasingly smooth character. Though his note is brief, it speaks to a wine that delivered on texture and structure — the kind of bottle that feels substantial in the glass without being harsh or overpowering. A solid four-star experience that left a positive impression.

I’ll keep it simple: this is a very good Chardonnay. The flavour profile lined up closely with what the website described, which is always reassuring — there’s nothing worse than a wine that doesn’t match its billing. It didn’t quite reach five stars for me personally, but that’s a matter of individual taste rather than any real fault with the wine itself. For what it is, it’s well made, satisfying, and definitely worth considering if you’re a Chardonnay fan. I’d happily buy it again.

Mark Fuller

A genuinely impressive bottle that came very close to earning a perfect score. Mark was clearly taken with this wine, stopping just short of the top mark — which, in many ways, speaks volumes. There’s a fine line between a four and a five, and landing so close to it suggests something that delivered real pleasure and quality. A strong recommendation from Mark, and one worth paying attention to.

This was my first time trying this wine, and I came away genuinely impressed. The palate was rather lovely — well-balanced and pleasant in a way that felt effortless. A strong debut that has left me curious to return to it again. Four stars from me, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for something enjoyable and approachable.

A pleasantly crisp wine with a little more body than you might expect, which gave it a satisfying presence without feeling heavy. It came into its own served cold on a hot day — exactly the kind of bottle you reach for when the weather demands something easy and refreshing. It went down very well, and I’d happily pour it again in the same conditions. A solid, enjoyable choice.

Winedrops is a fun concept and there are some genuinely good deals to be found. I’ve ordered two cases so far — one arrived without issue, but the other was damaged in transit and never made it to me. The main frustration was the lack of proactive communication around the delay; I wasn’t kept in the loop about where my wine was and had to reach out to Winedrops directly to find out what had happened. To their credit, once I did make contact things were resolved, but better courier tracking and more timely updates would go a long way. Overall, a promising service that I’d happily use again with the hope that the fulfilment experience becomes a little smoother.

A solid effort from Chablis. What strikes you immediately is how restrained and lean it is — there’s none of the buttery weight you might find in other Chardonnays, which will suit some drinkers very well. The flinty, mineral character is clearly there and gives it a genuine sense of place. Paul’s only reservation is that the citrus notes feel a little muted, leaving the palate wanting just a touch more brightness and fruit expression. That said, this is an honest, no-nonsense wine — precise rather than showy, and all the more grown-up for it. A respectable four stars.

I’ll be upfront — I’m no wine expert, and I usually find it hard to know what I’m looking for in a glass. But this one genuinely won me over. There was something about it that just worked: it tasted good in a way that was easy to appreciate without needing any particular knowledge. No overthinking required. I came away impressed and, honestly, a little surprised by how much I enjoyed it. If you’re in the same boat as me — curious but not deeply versed in wine — I’d say give it a try. Sometimes that straightforward enjoyment is all the review you need.

Kevin Williams

Kevin doesn’t gush, and that’s fair enough — sometimes a wine simply does what it sets out to do without demanding much fanfare. That seems to be the spirit here: pleasant, agreeable, nothing to complain about. It won’t necessarily stop a conversation in its tracks, but it’s the kind of bottle you’d be happy to have on the table again. A solid, unfussy choice that earns its place without needing to shout about it.

MR T BURGESS

Sometimes a single word says it all. Mr T Burgess kept it simple with ‘beautiful’, and honestly, that kind of instinctive reaction is hard to argue with. There’s clearly something here that made an impression — whether it was the aroma, the taste, the finish, or simply the overall experience of opening the bottle. A four-out-of-five rating backs up the enthusiasm. Not perfect, perhaps, but very close to it. Worth seeking out if you’re looking for something that delivers genuine pleasure without needing a lengthy explanation.

Ben French

A really enjoyable wine that goes down far too easily — the kind you open with good intentions and somehow finish before the evening’s out. Ben found it genuinely pleasant, with nothing demanding or complicated about it, just straightforward drinking pleasure that keeps you coming back for another glass. It may not be the most complex bottle on the shelf, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. A reliable, crowd-pleasing pour that earns its place on any table. Four stars, and well deserved for sheer drinkability.

Chris Law

I’ll admit I had my doubts at first, but Winedrops has won me over. The app is easy to use and the wine selection has genuinely impressed me. Most recently, I shared two beautiful bottles of Zinfandel with friends and they were absolutely worth every penny — rich, full-flavoured, and a real hit around the table. If you’re on the fence, I’d say give it a go. I’m glad I did.

Kevin Williams

Kevin kept it simple, and sometimes simple says it all. This is a good, fruit-forward red that does exactly what you want it to do — it’s easy to enjoy and hard to put down. No fuss, no pretension, just a genuinely drinkable bottle that earns its place on the table. A reliable choice for an everyday pour.

Benn Chandler

Benn kept things refreshingly brief, and sometimes that says it all. A lovely Sauvignon — and really, what more needs to be said? A solid four stars from a happy drinker. If it prompted that kind of straightforward satisfaction, it’s clearly doing something right. A wine worth revisiting.

Laurence Archard

A short note from Laurence, but an honest and telling one. Sometimes a wine doesn’t need a lengthy breakdown — it simply does what a good bottle should, offering a sense of warmth and harmony from the first sip. Rounded is exactly the right word here: nothing jagged or out of place, just a smooth, well-integrated feel that makes it easy to enjoy without overthinking. Laurence gave it four out of five, which feels about right for a wine that delivers genuine pleasure without necessarily demanding your full attention. A reliable, welcoming choice.

Paul Monaghan

Paul kept it simple, and sometimes simple says it all. This was, in his words, really good — and honestly, that kind of straightforward approval carries its own weight. Not every wine needs a lengthy dissection; some just do what they’re supposed to do and leave you satisfied. A four-out-of-five rating suggests this one delivered on its promise without quite reaching the heights of something truly exceptional, but that’s no faint praise. It’s the kind of bottle you’d be happy to open on a weeknight or share with friends without overthinking it. A confident recommendation from Paul.

Paul Monaghan

This is a wine that rewards a little patience at the table rather than being cracked open on its own. It’s on the richer, fuller side, which can feel like a lot if you’re just sipping casually, but pair it with a decent meal and it really comes into its own. The weight and depth that might seem excessive on its own becomes an asset alongside food, complementing rather than competing with what’s on the plate. A solid choice if you’re planning a proper dinner rather than a relaxed glass on the sofa. Four out of five — it earns its place at the table.

Diana Atkinson

Diana kept things refreshingly simple with her note, and sometimes that says it all. This is the kind of wine you reach for without overthinking — unpretentious, approachable, and easy to enjoy. Whether it was poured on a weeknight or shared with friends, it did exactly what a good everyday wine should do: go down smoothly and leave you wanting another glass. A solid four stars from Diana, and we’d be inclined to agree that there’s real value in a bottle that just delivers without fuss.

Andrea Brown

My delivery arrived later than expected, though the delay was down to the courier rather than Winedrops itself. What really stood out was how helpful and responsive the Winedrops team were throughout — they replied to my emails promptly and were genuinely willing to offer a refund and compensation for the inconvenience. Thankfully, the delivery did eventually arrive, and the way the situation was handled left me feeling well looked after. It’s reassuring to know that if something goes wrong, there’s a team ready to make it right.

Ian Littleworth

As someone new to Chablis, I found this a genuinely welcoming entry point into the style. It’s crisp and refreshing in a way that feels effortless rather than sharp, with a clean finish that left me wanting another glass. There’s an honesty to it — nothing overwrought, just a well-made white that does exactly what you’d hope. Particularly enjoyable on a warm day, when something cool and lively is just what you need. I’d happily recommend it to anyone curious about the region and not sure where to begin.

Will White

Will was brief but enthusiastic, awarding this wine four out of five stars with a simple verdict: very good value. And sometimes that really does say it all. When a wine delivers more than its price tag promises — whether that’s in terms of pleasure, character, or just sheer drinkability — it earns its place on the table. A solid recommendation from Will, and one worth taking seriously if you’re looking to drink well without spending too much.

Brian Biggs

Sometimes a wine just hits the spot and leaves you with a big smile — and that was exactly the experience here. Brian found plenty to enjoy in this bottle, coming away genuinely pleased with what was in his glass. It’s the kind of straightforward satisfaction that’s hard to argue with: no complaints, no caveats, just a very content drinker at the end of it. Four out of five stars and a warm recommendation from someone who knows what he likes.

Tim

A solid online wine retailer that’s well worth exploring. The range on offer is impressive, with plenty of choice to suit different tastes and budgets. What really stands out is the subscription model, which works in an refreshingly flexible way — you can build up your order of six bottles gradually over a period of time, rather than having to select everything at once. Once your six bottles are chosen, delivery is nice and quick. A genuinely enjoyable way to discover and order wine online.

Andrea Sturniolo

Good drinking overall, sitting somewhere between pleasantly light and ever so slightly muted — but enjoyable enough to hold the glass comfortably. Where things got interesting was in a little experiment: I held back about a quarter of a bottle and revisited it two days later. The difference was striking. It had lost its spark entirely, tasting flat and tired in a way that felt almost premature. Some wines forgive you for leaving them open; this one does not. The lesson here is simple — once you’ve uncorked it, commit to finishing it. Treat it as an evening wine rather than something to nurse across a few days, and you’ll get a genuinely pleasant experience for what it is. Four stars for the glass, but plan accordingly.

Andrea Sturniolo

I came to this hoping to discover something entirely new, and for the most part it delivered — a mostly red selection with one white and two champagnes made for an interesting spread. That said, a couple of the bottles turned out to be ones I’d already ordered before, which was a little disappointing when the whole appeal is the element of surprise. The random nature of the selection is part of the fun, and I understand that’s the format, but it’s worth knowing that repeats can happen. Overall, though, it’s still a good punt — enjoyable, reasonably varied, and worth trying if you’re open to a bit of a lucky dip. I’d just love to see some mechanism to avoid duplicates for returning customers.
