Avoid at all costs. Total scam

Downloaded the app thinking I could get really good discounts to then find out it was just a few small discounts. I decided it wasn’t worth it and deleted the app.
Couple of weeks later I get charged for £90, which they claim to be a subscription. Called my bank to cancel it as I never had used their services and would like my money back. The bank said I had to request the refund from Winedrops. Sent them an email and got this reply:
“As written in our welcome email, we cannot refund the membership fee. Since we don’t make profit on the wine, it’s the only thing that allows us to operate as a business.

We think we make this fee clear whichever route you sign up, whether that’s through email or over the phone. We then make it clear again through the email you get on day 1 of the membership.

Finally, we make sure the membership is easy to cancel throughout, by offering an easily accessible option to cancel on the app.

I know you’re unhappy about this resolution – the best thing I can do is offer free wine! If you ever choose to reactivate your membership, I will give you £90 store credit.

Given our average discount is ~35%, you’ll be able to get ~£120 worth of wine with this store credit.

Not only I been charged and not refunded their resolution is for me to reactivate my subscription to get £90 in discounts which are totally unreal and fake.
Absolute scam!!!!

It’s ok. First box of wine a bottle was missing and delivery was delayed. Customer service wasnt great. They eventually offered me credit for the bottle of wine that was missing but i never got the credit. I had to chase them alot to get answers. I wont be renewing subscription.

I was a bit skeptical about buying from a company I’ve never heard off before but thought I would give it chance. I am going to Italy soon and picked the Governo Uso Toscano to give it a whirl (normally have NZ wines). The flavour was so smooth and very easy to drink and even my husband was impressed and he only drinks red wine. Will definitely be buying more

Winedrops – excellent wines
Have used Winedrops for 6 months now and very impressed with the quality of the wines and generally the prices too. Some quite rare beasts at excellent price levels. Lots of good surprises here and not a bad bottle yet. Although they have been out of stock of my favourite for a while, hoping it’ll come back in soon.

Received my first winedrops order, two days late in arriving! I have to say I was a tad confused at the sign up process, expecting a trial offer to begin with, maybe confusing it with some other company’s. I’d looked at!Anyway, I’ve sampled two of the wines I ended up ordering, 770 miles Zinfandel red 2022, it was a bit harsh initially but second day it had toned down and ended up quite a pleasant drink. Grove Estate Shiraz 2020, got to say I’ve had better Supermarket bottles at a tenner! So the jury’s out at the moment but still have two wines yet to sample.
