This Italian red presents itself with poise. The nose opens gracefully—ripe cherry, a touch of leather, and a gentle undercurrent of spice. On the palate, it’s balanced and polished, with a medium body and a refined structure. There is no denying: this is a well-made wine.

However, while it delivers quality, it lacks the depth and distinction that might justify its rather lofty price point. For the cost, one might reasonably expect a more memorable finish, a greater complexity, or at the very least, a wine that sparks conversation long after the last glass.

It is, in essence, a handsome suit with nothing in the pockets: attractive, well-tailored, but ultimately lacking substance where it counts.

Would I drink it again? Certainly—if served at a dinner party.

Love how easy it is to explore new wines in the app! The sales team is attentive but never pushy. Being able to build my own mixed cases and use the cellar to schedule delivery at my convenience is a game-changer.

Easy to order, and the wines are genuinely good value. Delivery adds around 90p per bottle, which adds up a bit—but everything else has been great! Would love a free delivery option on 12-bottle orders. Fast dispatch, very happy overall.

Love the concept but dislike that you have to subscribe to see how it all works. It is easy to unsubscribe though so still 4 stars. I want to try the wine and service before I commit to a subscription.

Good value and great for discovering wines. Restocking after reservations can be slow, but I’ve only disliked one so far.

Really appreciate the flexibility of building a case at your own pace — such a clever idea. Some deals are genuinely impressive (though I agree, always worth a quick check). The new app takes a bit of getting used to, but overall it’s a great platform. A few more New World wines would definitely be a welcome addition!

Had a problem with Winedrops taking money out of my account when I had only 1/2 filled in application form. When I contacted them I had to fill in a form with many questions to be answered.I then got my money back …. worked out ok in the end.

Love the system of filling your create in your own time then auto delivers when it’s full. Some discounts are very real but always recommend double checking. New App harder to navigate but overall a great way to buy wine.Would love to see more New World wines on there.
