I’ve tried many wine apps and Winedrops is one I genuinely enjoy. It’s subscription-based, and the fee has increased quite significantly since I first joined. That said, the more orders you place, the more the subscription pays for itself. It works best when you already have a sense of a wine’s price point — a quick search elsewhere for comparison never goes amiss.

The main downside is that some wines are so good they sell out incredibly fast and can take a long time to return — if they return at all.

I’ve also encountered a few delivery hiccups, though these are largely down to DHL being, well… DHL. Throughout those frustrations, Winedrops have been consistently honest, helpful, and easy to deal with. That counts for a lot.
