Really enjoyed this. Dry, smooth and easy to drink without being heavy. It went brilliantly with a fillet steak and really brought out the flavour of the meat. Sitting outside for an alfresco dinner on a warm evening, it was just the right choice. It even took us back to our time in Beaune. We paid £19.99 for a bottle with an RRP of £54, which made it fantastic value. If it comes back at that sort of price, it’s definitely one to watch out for. I’d happily buy it again.

This one has left me a little confused. Really smooth and full of flavour, not as dry or oaky I I would have expected. I feel there may be a little too much added sugar but not a bad drop and very drinkable.

My first crate from Winedrops was excellent — great value and the wines themselves were genuinely beautiful. Free delivery on the first order was a welcome bonus too. A couple of things worth knowing before you sign up: there is an annual subscription to factor into your budget, and purchases are charged as soon as you add a bottle to your basket rather than at a later checkout stage. Neither of these is a problem at all, just useful to be aware of going in. Overall, a very positive first experience and I would happily recommend giving it a try.
