Seductive app – way to easy to buy wines
App is very seductive and makes it way too easy to buy wine impulsively. Good range of short offers and exposes lesser known wines. I’m not convinced of the promised discounts. Wine-searcher.com usually yields wines that are similarly priced. This app does make buying easy though. Great for impulse buyers.

Efficient process and delivery

Charges £90 for membership after a week. But apart from that great app if u like fine wine. Not always accurate with scores but great wines available!

I would give this 5 stars but I’m more of a low-medium priced wine buyer so the offers that come up are a bit further out of a normal price bracket. That said, it’s easy to creep up to the more expensive ones for a treat – especially when they are less than half price of bottle shops, and occasionally you can the same bottles around £14 sold for nearly £100 in Michelin starred restaurants.
If you love and appreciate the best wines, I can definitely recommend Wine Drops!

The wine is good

From the moment you open the app, it’s clear these guys have barrels of personality.
The copy has a cheeky, yet informed edge to it.
The interface is clear.
The wines are interesting and exciting.
What’s not to like.

The quality & pricing of the wines is spot on. The subscription fee is rather high considering you only get access to deals for it & paying a year upfront is a bit OTT, however hopefully I’ll make use of it enough to justlift the outlay.

Great app! The £90 membership fee was made clear from the beginning, but I’ve definitely made that money back with the savings in the past year. I do find some of the retail benchmarks to be a bit misleading because they tend to choose the most expensive price in the market and benchmark against that, but they still have lots of wines at great prices.

I’m not a die hard wine fan but the app has been amazing to see information about each wine that is on offer to make an informed decision on what to buy, also that once you buy them they stay in the basket until you’ve selected all 6 and then they send out, great idea

Title says it all – not always the cheapest, especially with the subscription fee, but access to wines you might not otherwise find still makes it a worthwhile try.

I love trying new wines but never really knew how to pick new ones to know that I’d like them. The overview and tasting notes on the app are spot on and mean that each wine that we get we know we will enjoy. The discounts are amazing as well! The only reason it’s 4 and not 5 * is because sometimes you can’t get the wine that you’ve bought before again and have to buy it somewhere else and it’s usually more expensive.

There is a wide range of good wines on this app, and unlike other wine clubs, there is no commitment to a set order each month, so you can scale it as you please. You probably cover the joining fee from the savings on your first order, so it’s good value. Recommend.

Really good wine at good prices – happy with the app

Great choice of wines and champagnes. Some offers aren’t as amazing as they seem if you spend some time shopping online but they definitely have discounted prices across the board. Good selection, service and speedy delivery. Being able to purchase multiple wines before dispatch is nice as you can add wines to your box as and when some favourites come up.

I’ve seen a few negative reviews on here and I think some people are comparing them to wine clubs that have been on the go for years.

This is a lean, digital business which has a simple concept and is easy for the customer.

You buy what you want over any period of time until there’s 6 and then the box arrives with you only paying for the one delivery. And what you pay to join is negated by what you’ll save overall in the long run.

For me the selection is good and a mix of cheap to ‘deals’ on expensive treat bottles and means I can discover different wines and come back to buy more of what I like.

Can you shop around and find that same bottle online or in Waitrose for £2 cheaper – yes. Sometimes the ‘deals’ aren’t as as great as they seem but the convenience and variety for me outweigh any perceived negative.
