Winedrops’ offering “We bring you trade prices” and “we cut out the middlemen” is just not quite the case – in truth, they do neither.We get an offer of x% off against x retailer, but that retailer will usually be offering the product towards the higher end of all prices. If we search elsewhere we’ll find the same wine, at roughly the same or even cheaper prices (in some instances, MUCH cheaper than winedrops). ‘We are cheaper than Harrods’ is not much of a selling point, at least not to me.That said, there are at least three good reasons to consider using Winedrops:1. Many of the other companies’ cheaper offers will be on a 6 or 12 bottle case price, and Winedrops allows its customers to just from just one bottle upwards (providing, I believe, you mix with a reasonable minimum number to make delivery economically viable).2. The company does offer to match the cheapest price on the market, minus £1, when notified by us. This is a strong, good offer, and to be taken up.3. Delivery prices are competitive and delivery is often much swifter than we’ll see from some of those offering cheaper prices- again, that’s commendable.When I initially aired these concerns in my review here in November, the business owner (Jonny?) was good enough to contact me, and was both polite and even-handed in response. He quite rightly drew my attention to my point 1. above, which is actually a definite plus point for most customers. In light of that, I think it’s fair to improve my review grade from 3 to 4 star, and to commend the company, with the qualification mentioned at the opening remaining.

Good variety of wine at good price. A fun and easy way to try lots of different wines. The case builder is a good way to get a good selection of wines also. Highly recommend

Genuinely could not recommend enough, the variety and quality of wine offered is phenomenal. Customer service is excellent, communication is creative and helpful. All up excellent shopping experience, plus every bottle of wine I’ve had has been delicious!

Having been with Wine Drops for a while, I’m happy to say the variety of wines offered by Johnny make it a fun experience picking which wines you buy based on the palette and flavours described.Some wines can be picked up a £1 or £2 cheaper, but there is more savings than that across the board! Really enjoy it!

A strong recommendation for Winedrops. The service is slick and easy. Whatsapp is a great way of doing business. The recommendations are good and the wine is not the usual stuff you’ll find everywhere, some effort goes into getting the right options to you. I’ve never tried so many new wines and been so frequently rewarded for it. Great prices and service.

The obvious boxes are ticked, great service, quick response, expert advise if needed. More than anything, product is king. If you want ready to drink premium bottles with paying the normal premium, this is for you. I use as a topup while waiting for cellared items to mature.Top marks!

Winedrops is brilliant. The service is great for discovering new wines in a super easy and accessible manner. The write ups are great guides and help broaden one’s horizons to new regions/varietals. Also great when you see old favourites crop up. Jonny is super helpful, super responsive, and I’d recommend the subscription to anyone.

Really great Wine club, managed by Jonny who is very personable and responds to your daft o’ clock WhatsApp messages! All the sales are transacted via a couple of WhatsApp numbers, one for initial registration and then another that is regularly used to introduce you to the various wines on offer. Once you have selected 6 bottles, these are shipped to you, delivery is around £7. The wines are quality, I am hooked! Only hiccup (hence the 4* review) has been that they kept trying to process my subscription on a cancelled card so the bank started getting twitchy, for which Jonny was very apologetic but i had to flag a few times. I have also identified that some of the wines can be purchased elsewhere at similar price, however good customer service trumps pricing for me and Jonny has it in spades. Thank you Winedrops!

Winedrops is SUCH an epic idea, and unlike any other wine club out there, and I’ve been a part of several! It is super easy to use, friendly, informative and with a really broad and interesting range of wine deals that get sent to you each week. I especially love that you can slowly build a case over time of different wines, and how when you have filled a case it is automatically sent out to you for free!I love that it utilises whatsapp so well, and always brightens up my day when I get a new deal through. Thanks for creating something so innovative and fun!
