Consider myself a minor collector and well informed amateur and was initially quite sceptical about Winedrops, but eventually decided to give it a go. There are enough interesting offerings and the prices are pretty good, even when comparing with wine searcher’s best UK prices. Now feels like it will be a great accompaniment to my traditional merchant and found myself buying more than expected (couple of mixed cases in the first 10 days or so). Couldn’t resist one case of very decent WA chardonnay at well below merchant prices, for example and added an Amarone, a good rose and Chilean Pinot Noir. When my first shipment arrived a day after despatch I must add that the packaging is quite impressive, adding to the feel that this is very worthwhile and an innovative and enjoyable approach in addition to the traditional model I have always used up to now.

Been with Winedrops a short while, but have found the selections are excellent, the fact you can “build” your case overtime on your selections also helps with managing your budget as well as your wine rack. Delivery is very prompt. Overall communications are excellent for notifications on new wines available right through to dispatch. Finding wines I would not have tried before, mainly being too expensive, but these guys are coming up with some great deals. Would totally recommend.

It’s really convenient to use, you just reply to posts on WhatsApp and they send you the case once you hit 6 bottles. Lots of what I’ve tried has been good and it’s definitely made me try new wines.

Prices aren’t cheap… they’re not as good as what you get in any boutique wine shop between £15 to £20not worth paying a subscription fee for.You’re better off ordering through a normal retailer
