Recently immigrated from South Africa and came across Winedrops. Was tired of the sugar syrup new age wines from supermarkets and thought I would give them a shot.As previous reviews from people that objected with the £90 membership deduction and gave the company a 1* review, I equally found it odd that downloading the app would commit you to immediate membership. Fortunately I always read the T&C’s thoroughly and understood that Winedrops have pretty aggressive financial clauses that lean towards not wasting their time with non committal onlookers but rather with serious wine lovers that appreciate the negotiations and research that goes into bringing the consumer a superior product at unbeatable prices.Love the app. Simple, informative and daily to go to with new wines and deals.Received 2 calls from Charles before signing up with his sales pitch. It worked👍🏻Received my 1st case today and look forward to sampling a bottle with Springboks vs Ireland🤜🏼One issue that is annoying is that each bottle you purchase has a single charge on your card🤔 so a case of 12 means 12 separated transactions on your card. As this is a debit card I incur a bank charge for each transaction. Although they have a 1st come 1st served policy, there should be a more cost effective way of securing wine. Also the app stipulates £6.99 freight for a case of 6 in the uk. Northern Ireland is part of the uk but nowhere does it mention £12.75 if off the mainland. That’s rather expensive.Considering the landed cost, I will have to take smaller sips and savour every mouthful.Look forward to future purchases.Thanks for a great concept Winedrops5*

Good wine merchant – something a little different for sure. Customer service is easy to deal with. Selection of wines could improve & discounts aren’t always as big as made out but overall the majority of the wines I have bought here have been very good.

Absolute Scam – Do NOT Trust Wine Drops

I am beyond furious with Wine Drops! They have deceitfully taken £90 out of my account for a subscription I neither wanted nor will ever use. This company preys on customers by sneakily enrolling them in unwanted subscriptions, and it seems I’m not the only victim – countless others have experienced the same unethical treatment.

I did receive a response to my initial email, but their reply was dismissive and unhelpful. It’s clear from their tone that they have no intention of returning my money. Their customer service is a complete joke, and it’s obvious they have no interest in addressing their deceptive practices.

Avoid Wine Drops at all costs! This company is a disgrace and operates like a scam. Save your money and your sanity – go elsewhere for your wine needs. Wine Drops, you should be ashamed of yourselves!

I have experienced excellent wines from winedrops with unbeatable prices, and I can’t explain how glad I am signing up. Great service, quick delivery.
Tried wines that I would not normally buy in stores and also brought a mystery bottle, which turned out to be very tasty!!.

Great wines. 4 starts because it’s quite pricey £100 per year plus you still pay for each bottle around £10 -£15 or more( if you really want to get a great wine) but you know how it works while signing up.
The annoying thing for me was the fact that at the top of this all you still have to pay for the delivery £5.99 or £8.99 depending on how many wines you order. This should be covered, in my opinion, by the company.

Great wine selection, good pricing on the bottles and good delivery, the only down side for me was the subscription price thought it was a bit much but I guess to get the price they give on the wine it may be necessary

I have never bought any wine from this site even though I paid £90 for the year but now they have renew my membership without any email or text and taken another £90 from my account.
I don’t think this is right for them to do have contacted them hoping that I will get a refund.

It’s very frustrating that they lack a telephone contact number, making it difficult to get in touch. I saw their ads on social media and, out of curiosity, downloaded the app to look at their wines. I left it alone, thinking the wines were too expensive, and didn’t realize I would be charged £90.

I’ve already reached out to them and am now waiting for a response about the refund. This situation feels quite concerning.

They have an amazing selection of wines – some bottles that are quite rare to find in supermarkets and wine shops. I also had the opportunity to buy some labels that usually are very expensive – it’s really worth it! As a wine lover, I am sure to say that this is the best wine experience available in the UK at the moment. Great quality for a great price!

Excellent customer service. I was exploring the app and purchased wine I didn’t intend to buy. I don’t actually think I would get value as I don’t buy much wine, but if I did, I would explore it more.Anyway, I digress. The excellent customer service resulted from my email saying I had messed up. I received a response quickly, and the money was refunded.So – if are using the service, you can do so in confidence they care about you.

New to WineDrop, but I must say everything from customer care, support and to ease of purchasing, right through to delivery, has been excellent…

I am frustrated that I was charged £90 for an annual informative subscription without explicit consent. To make matters worse, I keep receiving numerous unsolicited offers, which feel overwhelming and intrusive.

So cheap you’ll think it’s a scam…until it get’s delivered
