Signed up for a 3-month subscription. Having reviewed the wine choice, and not used the service, decided to cancel. Found it very difficult to get a refund, to the point where needed to raise with bank.

Lovely wines, but at what cost? A reluctant review but you should understand the full picture before paying for ’membership’!

I’ve learned that you pay the full membership up front, all £119, not the £9.91/month, and it’s not refundable after 14-days.

You pay £6.99 for delivery.

And, guess what, I’ve found that you can buy most of the wines cheaper elsewhere BEFORE you add delivery and membership fees….. A whopping discount on a wine you wouldn’t spend £25 anyway is largely irrelevant for me.

And when providing feedback and asking to be refunded they are yet to send the money despite assurances.

I strongly advise that there are other much better value propositions out there.

UPDATE: thanks for your reply, but it isn’t accurate. You have refused to refund my membership fee as I asked for it after 10-days. The fee was clear, but not it being taken in one lump and also that it was completely NONE-REFUNDABLE after 10 days. How are we to sample the goods and services in only 10 days to determine if your model offers value. And I found, as many have noted here and elsewhere, it simply isn’t. So your response is disingenuous. And I still haven’t had a refund!

RIP OFF MERCHANTS DO NOT EVEN SELECT 1 BOTTLE. YOU WILL BE CHARGED AND NOT REFUNDED!!!

When I was contacted by phone and asked to join I thought it would only be a short term relationship.Over 2 years later they are taking all my money selling first class wines, at reduced prices which does not reduce the quality of the wine.I use Vivino which is good but I must admit Winedrops is a first class option to buy excellent wine and way more impressive than other wine clubs in the market place.

Love trying different wines but find prices too high for us. Now can spend same but have superior wine.Love the app and the savings.

Easy to use generally

I wanted to try this company out so made an account, had to input my card details and everything seemed in order. I also thought I checked that I wasn’t on a subscription where money would be taken from my account however then £119 was taken out of my account a few days after making an account. I emailed them and said I didn’t want this, and to be fair to them they said I could get a refund if I email this refund email address and fill in this form. So I did emailed the refund people filled in the form and my god some of the questions on that refund form were ridiculous and clearly designed to catch you out. They asked for make and location of the phone I used when I made the subscription for example. Once I completed this very long form I eventually got my refund, so I’m not actually annoyed at winedrops I just think you really have remember a lot to just get a simple refund!

Lead me to believe browsing the website was aholding fee of £1 but later took £119 out of my account.
