About Godello

Godello is a high-quality white grape native to northwest Spain, particularly the Valdeorras region of Galicia. Once nearly extinct, Godello has undergone a remarkable revival and is now considered one of Spain’s most promising white varieties, known for its mineral backbone, stone fruit aromatics, and age-worthy structure.

Often compared to Chardonnay or white Burgundy for its ability to reflect terroir and respond well to oak, Godello can be made in both fresh stainless steel-fermented styles and more textured, barrel-aged expressions.

With increasing plantings in regions like Bierzo and Ribeira Sacra, Godello is gaining international acclaim as a white wine that combines vibrancy, complexity, and elegance.
